Discover Yourself and Your Career Workshop

Are you feeling overwhelmed when someone asks you what your major is or, even scarier, what you want to do with your life? It can be difficult to figure out the answer to these questions on your own. That’s why we’ve created a half-day workshop to help you get to know yourself better, design your future, and plan for the career of your dreams before you even start college. Powered by YouScience and What Color is Your Parachute for Teens, this workshop will give you a better understanding of your aptitudes and how you can use them to pursue the job of your dreams. This workshop provides you with essential tools to make educated, confident decisions regarding your major and future career. With the knowledge you gain, you’ll have the confidence to pursue your goals and maximize your potential.

Passion Project Workshop – Research Edition

Do you have a burning passion that you can’t wait to explore? Are you looking to stand out from your peers and showcase your creative initiative? This six-session workshop will help you identify and research a topic that you are passionate about. You will learn how to conduct a mini literature review, interview and/or create a survey, analyze the results, and make recommendations. The passion project is a great way to demonstrate your creativity, initiative, and values. Plus, you may even turn your project into a business, blog, social media campaign, or even a community project! Come join us to explore your passion and make it into something special.

Project Based Passion Project Workshop

Take your passions from a spark of inspiration to a roaring success in this 4 session workshop! If you took our research edition workshop, you can take your idea to the next level. Or, if you’re new to passion projects, you can refine your idea and start taking action. Choose a project that is meaningful to you and that you’ll be eager to learn and master. This could be anything from playing a musical instrument to learning a new language or anything that requires more than just a few hours of work. You should be ready to commit 15-20 hours total (5 hours per week) to your project. Bring your ideas to life with a website, podcast, YouTube channel, social media campaign, or business plan. You decide on the project, and we’ll help you bring it to the world.

Volunteer Workshops

Volunteering offers a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community and to show your dedication to a particular social justice issue. During this two-day, hands-on workshop, students will start by researching local volunteer opportunities that match their interests, listening to guest speakers talk about their organizations, and developing an individual plan to help their community through service. Next, everyone will come together for a day of volunteering at a local organization. The workshop will conclude with a reflection session that explores the importance of volunteering and how to encourage more people to get involved. By the end of the workshop, students will have gained a greater appreciation for the value of volunteering and the impact it can have on the community.
